I am going this year but I haven't ever gone before so i can't help you there.

We are going but havent been before either. Looks like fun, and ive been told that some of the vendors are going to have some impossible to get rare fruit trees for sale. Thats enough to get my attention. :)

I'm going on Saturday and most interested in the dragon fruit class taught by Dr. Falkenstein. I have several in pots and looking for input on growing them. I've visited his garden and he has an extensive array of them along with a very large selection of assorted tropicals. The class on growing bananas taught by Doug Jones will also be great as I've also seen his jungle including many bananas among the huge list of everything else he has. This is a first for me also so have no idea what to expect. I'm also very interested in hearing about other varieties of pomegranates.

I have never attended this event either, but would like to go. Could we drop in at any time during the event, or do we have to register for the tours? What can we expect there? Displays? Plants for sale? Any info on this would be appreciated as I do not want to drive a long way to find I cannot get in without registering.

Interesting question, I did not even notice that but it sure does look like pre-registration is at least requested if not required. There may be an at-the-door price but that's usually higher.

Registration is required. Festival is here only every 10 years so I would say worth checking out.
