Kent by far. Not even a close second. No fiber, taste between a orange and a peach. I put a 8 inch seedling in the ground in April, it is now 6 foot tall.

I just bought a Manilla not sure where to put it. I have a South facing area in front yard that is partially shaded by neighbor's massive pine tree, or a full sun spot in the back yard about 3 feet from the wall, which might get too hot in the summer. Suggestions?

Kent gets glowing reviews from everything that I have read. The thing is that it gets big. My space is a SE location about 10 ft from my house. So, I need to keep this tree from being too big. Can this be done and still have a nice looking, productive tree?

I saw some Manilas at HD and Lowes and was wondering about them too.

Any tree is only going to get as big as you allow it. Pinch off new growth at the top. Manilla is blah, not even in the same catagory as kent.

I've bought Manilla Mango fruit from the local asian groceries, and its fantastic, hoping for fruit. The HD mango plants are seedlings, not grafts though.
