If you decide to try onions, be sure to choose short day types. And of course, don't make the mistake I did this year and choose a short day type that doesn't like afternoon temperatures above a maximum 75 degrees, lol! (Wish that info had been on the web site I ordered from instead of just on the package...)

Alliums like lots of sun, so be sure to choose a location that will get good light throughout the winter as the sun dips lower in the sky.
