What is this plant?

I saw this at Baker's...and forgot to make note of the name! I don't think it's uncommon but I think it's very pretty and wanted to know the name so I can research it, if anyone could please help?

Also, if you happen to know under what conditions this type of plant thrives, that would be great to know, too!

Thanks in advance!!!

Oh wait...I think I figured it out...maybe it is a Kalanchoe thrysiflora (aka: Flapjacks)?

I have no idea, but at $59.95, it should come with an insurance policy!

Yup, that's what it is. There are smaller ones for sale at the DBG sale this weekend. And Metrotech might have some, too, their sale is today (Saturday).

I had one and it totally melted in the summer.

Out of curiosity, plstqd, what kind of exposure did it get this summer?

RE: What is this plant?

It was in pretty full sun. I made the mistake of planting it against a north facing wall...cool and shady in the winter, full blast in the summer. Oops.

Ouch.... I don't think these plants are quite made for our sunlight.
