What is this plant?

I saw this at Baker's...and forgot to make note of the name! I don't think it's uncommon but I think it's very pretty and wanted to know the name so I can research it, if anyone could please help?
Also, if you happen to know under what conditions this type of plant thrives, that would be great to know, too!

| Yup, that's what it is. There are smaller ones for sale at the DBG sale this weekend. And Metrotech might have some, too, their sale is today (Saturday). |

| It was in pretty full sun. I made the mistake of planting it against a north facing wall...cool and shady in the winter, full blast in the summer. Oops. |
