Water. Blast the leaves with a hose and knock the critters off, then harvest.

I don't have a caterpillar problem because I tolerate wasps. They catch caterpillars for their larvae.

My beet leaves look like cottage cheese and my carrot greens have been muched so hard they just look like bare green skewers, there are any number of different types of caterpillar on them all. I did a dusting with BT today. I hope that works.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try water tomorrow and what is BT?

Powderd form of a bacteria that kills caterpillars - safe for mammals. Just follow the instructions.

Works almost immediately. They eat it then they stop eating with a heck of a belly ache. Then they sit there and wither...takes a couple of days to dehydrate to death. Of course at some point their stomach contents spill out inside them and they start to digest themselves. Hard to find in the stores. Make sure it is for caterpillars/larvae and not mosquitoes (different BT).

This is why I tolerate wasps as well. They like the fresh meat.
