| Hoku1 had asked about greenhouses on the "frost" thread, so I thought I would start a greenhouse thread. My greenhouse is 6 X 6. It has zippered doors on either side. It folds up for storage. I set up 3 large plant lights to leave on @ night so the temp doesn't get too low.
This is last year, filled with plants.

Better late than never! :-) DH and I discussed a permanant greenhouse structure (one that could be fully opened and used sort of like a patio in summer so as not to be a hothouse) but decided to use the space differently. So I went with a lot of peoples' suggestion to do a winter greenhouse. This year it is housing tropicals I have been collecting to plant in the microclimate behind the pond when that area is ready, tender plants that I couldn't plant this year either because of the exterior remodel, and some seedlings I started in the fall. | It is awesome- I highly recommend everyone get one! It's just neat to go out there and there's all this green, and all this growth, not to mention the warmth :-). I go out there and go from one plant to another, checking on them all. Will have to have it up every year now! Lynn |

| I just gotta ask: Who needs to get warm in this crazy weather? Another record breaking high temp possible today. If this keeps up, we'll need ice houses come summer! And, yes, I still plan to get my temporary greenhouse up - cause if history repeats itself it will freeze in February. :-( |
