A good place to buy orchids in Tucson/PHX?

Posted by cactus_dude Tucson (My Page) on

Looking for advice on where to buy orchids in Tucson or Phoenix (other than Trader Joe's, lol). I'm a cactus/succulent collector, but I'm starting to really get into orchids, having just bought several in the last month or so.

Thanks.

I've seen some nice ones at the HomeDepot on Irvington.

You may also want to call around to places like Harlows, and some of the other nurserys.

I bought my Phaleanopsis orchids in Home Depot, Safeway and Trader Joe's. All got the same light/care. Only one survived - from Home Depot. It was blooming for 4 -5 month in 2008. Now it is going to bloom again. I use distill water to water it.

I recently went to the orchid show at Baker's Nursery. I believe they normally have them there as well. They are located on 40 st and North of Thomas. I'm not sure how far north of but you can always look them up.
