Palo Verde Borer Beetle

HI, Does anybody know how to get rid of the Palo Verde Borer Beetle. I have had 3 trees uproot and blow over from the wind in the last year. All 3 trees have the larva in the root area. These trees have been here for over 20 years now and have withstood hurricane force winds in thew past. The other trees are probably being eaten by the larva also and I am not sure how to be able to know for sure. Thank you!

RE: Palo Verde Borer Beetle

The Palo Verde is a short-lived tree; 20+ years is elderly for them. Time to think about a less susceptible replacement species.

Preventing stress is the best prevention, because the larvae are deep in the dirt and you can't get to them.
