My poor tomatoes

I have about 12 German tomato plants that we're pretty big before the freeze came. They were covered in lots of flowers and even a few green tomatos growing. Then the cold seemed to turn about half of the plant a dark green, so I'm assuming those parts of the plant are dead.

My question is......will the plant come back if I cut back the dead parts. I'm also curious as to what people think I should do with my tomato plants. The bed i have them in is 3 feet wide and 7 feet long. It's made out of cinder blocks and filled with dirt from Singhs. Do you think it's worth saving the plants and trying to keep them covered to make it through the winter. Or would it be better to pull them for better suited plants and then plant again when it heats up. I also have another bed that's full of pepper plants. Had the some problem with the cold, so not sure what to do with those guys either.
