Another tree ID please

This tree is growing in the backyard of the house I purchased six months ago. Any idea what it is?

I has rough bark, very small narrow bright green leaves, and inconsequential small yellow-white blooms in late spring. It does ok with no supplemental water. The branches are brittle and break off easily. It's about 9-10 ft high and about 12-14 wide. No idea how old it is, but has to be from 1996 on.

Probably Hopseed Bush, Dodonaea viscosa. Hard to tell without leaf closeup.

Yup, definitely hopseed and a nice one at that. If they're highly irrigated they are more dense and leafy. Mine are big green blobs, hah, so I'm envious of how structural yours is. Thanks for posting it. Happy gardening!

Yes, it is definitely more desert tree-like than lush shrub-like and is subsisting on natural rainfall. Thanks for the comments and help.

I really love the look of yours. I took mine off of irrigation a couple of years ago so I'm hoping they toughen up a bit. Great looking plant! Happy gardening!
