Hi,
I am trying to identify the type of bamboo that I have, and was hoping that somebody could help me.
The bamboo appears to be a clumping variety and is about 2 - 2.5 ft tall though some of the newer shoots are about 3 - 3.5 ft.
I have attached some pictures, any information greatly appreciated.
thanks,
xman

A picture of the culms and newly emerging shoots would be helpful.

It's hard to tell from the leaves. Does it freeze back during the Winter?

So far we have had temperature drop to 15 F, and it has not died back. I called the nursery and they said it was called Feather leaf bamboo. I have heard of fernleaf but not feather leaf. But they were adamant that it was called feather leaf bamboo.
Has anybody heard of a feather leaf bamboo?

thanks,
xman

I have the Bambusa multiplex varieties Fernleaf, Tiny Fern, and Willowy(Wang Tsai), but haven't heard of one called Featherleaf.

It is probably another common name for one of the above.

How big are the individual leaves on the bamboo?
