Is this bamboo?

| We just bought a house this past winter. The previous owners told us what they had planted around the house and in the yard. They told us that in this area they had just planted some daisies the previous fall. These pictures are of what is actually growing there. They aren't daisies - that's for sure! I'm not sure what they are. They never flowered or even had flower buds on them. They have ridges on the stalks that look like bamboo and are about 6 feet tall now. I know nothing about bamboo at all. I tried to find some pictures of a bamboo that looks like this but with no luck. Does anyone know if this is bamboo and if so what kind? Thanks.

| The photo that I downloaded is NOT bamboo. This slow dialup here takes forever to receive the photos, so I only looked at one. It resembles a plant that I have here. It never blooms and gets about 4 feet tall, but what you have is not bamboo. Kt |
