Oldhamii, One Year Later...

Here is the same potted Oldhamii I posted a pic of last year. Beside it is another potted Oldhamii, both are 24 feet tall, not including the pot.

I already tied the culms together before taking this picture. I do so in order to get them in my greenhouse easier. I move them in and out as the weather changes, and since we are supposedly due for our first freezing temps of the season, I wanted to get them prepared. I can't bring myself to top them off, so I water them well, then lay them on their side in the greenhouse on colder nights, remove them when it's warmer.

I did the same with some Brandisii, Lako, Atroviolacea, and Latiflorus.

Dang, CJ, what a bummer. I guess you will be out of service for a while. Gives you more time to surf the net, though.

Been back and forth to the hospital here also, it's no fun. Always great to get out and spend time with my bamboo, although time is scarce.

Hope you're back on your feet again soon.

Kt, those Oldhamii do well in those small planters? Too wild... look like they should fall over.

Any chance there is a slice needing a new home?

The problem is getting them down to a smaller size. A slice would still be huge even after topping it. Over 60 bucks to ship.

I am still working on smaller divisions.
