| Hi all,
I'm looking for some bamboo to plant in my back yard of minimum diameter of 1.5 inches but no more than 4 inches approximately. I don't have anything to trade or offer for it except to dig it out. I'm new to gardening and I have a project that I want to work on that include bamboo. I'm in Victoria TX,if you are in Texas I don't mind driving to get it as long as is withing reason. Any help will do Thank you for you time!

| I've seen a few stands of 'wild' bamboo growing along roadsides around Victoria in the past. The kind I mostly saw was fishpole bamboo or P. aurea. It's a running bamboo and gets about 2 inches in diameter and about 25 feet tall. There is a small clumping bamboo at a rest area north of Rockport. How tall of a bamboo are you looking for? I think you would be better with a clumper...one of the Bambusas. There is a bamboo nursery in Corpus Christi, but I've never been there. Kt |

| Well, it really does not matter to me how long it gets because I can always cut in down to size.I like the tall bamboos better but a beggar can't be a chooser..Anything above 10 feet will do with a diameter of 1.5 or above. Thanks for the info! |
