I have heard alot about this Old Silverbrook Cemetary. Do they actually give away clumps of Moso? I have yet to see these beauties at their mature height. But I would love to give moso a try. Is this the infamous Anderson Clone that they say is hardier than regular moso? Has anyone had any good success at growing moso in zone 6b. I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't size up. But I am having some success with bamboos that are only hardy to 0 degrees f. Thanks to all contributors I have learned alot here.

The Anderson moso has done well for me. It's been slow over the past 7 years, but has never frozen here, even in the mid single digits. Regular moso froze back once or twice.

Thanks Steve, Those canes look like they are sizing up pretty nicely. So the Anderson clone is really living up to it's hardiness ratings. That's good to know. Now to just find some that is reasonably priced. Good luck to you and your Moso. And thanks again for the reply.

"Reasonable" is a function of how much you want something.
