| Here in central florida the heat is very stong in the summer, and I am worried that this limits my choices of bamboo. Also, the bamboo must be drought tolerant. Below are what I would prefer the recommended bamboo to be: Heat tolerant Drought tolerant Running Very large size, timber like 50 feet or more Very aggresive Grows and Matures quickly Edible shoots and stong canes Thank you for your help with this tough question! | Look into Phyllostachys Henon and Phyllostachys Bory. Whatever bamboo you plant, if you are in a dry area, you will need to water it to get it established first before it can take dry spells. Kt |
