We don't even read the posts past the point where we see the word "lucky" on this forum. In fact that word completely alters the meaning of the preceeding text. Your post read as "Hello, my dad has recently been brainwashed by a Feng Shui cult ..."

Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is related to the "Corn" plant (Dracaena fragrans) and the Dragon Tree (Dracaena marginata).

True bamboo is not related to Lucky Bamboo, and sweet corn is not related to the corn plant. What is with you Dracena lovers anyway? Do you name your children Moonunit and Dweezel too?

Why don't you go over and pester the people over on the dragon forum.

Were these in water? Most people "grow" them in water, but they do best in soil. I think they just ran their time and that's it. Potting soil will work fine for them.

Macdaddy, I was thinking an australian water dragon would be pretty cool and by the sound of it, quite hardy.

Best Botanist, it sounds like it might be too late to save your dracaena, but your best chance to revive it would be to plant it in soil, potting soil, as mentioned by lkz5ia, should do just fine.

Best, I hope you got the idea I was pulling your leg. You're more than welcome to ask for help here. Frankly, I just through out my wifes lucky bamboo after a year and a half. It is not natural for it to be in the water and eventually they decline.
