Has anyone grown p. dulcis sweet shoot bamboo in zone 6a?

I'd love to get it, as they claim that it gets a 3 inch diameter culm, but they list it as hardy to -5 F. Has anyone grown in in zones 6a or zone 5b, and if so does it spread fast or barely creep along? I have p. nigra henon and it's supposed to be for zone 7. It is still alive, but barely spreads.

I'm not sure you're going to have much success with it in your Zone because you're probably going to have culm death each winter, and I suspect that if the rhizome survives the plant still won't size up very well.
