Drepanostachyum sengteeanum propagation

We just sawed a 6 or 7 cane clump off our main plant of D. sengteeanum and planted it up in a large container. However, we did break one of the canes at the base, and we're hoping for some ideas on how we might take cuttings and propagate from this piece. I've seen some info on cutting, but don't know how many nodes are needed for each cutting, how may nodes per cutting, and where to make the cuts (halfway between nodes, for example?
