I've lately had an increasing interest in bamboo to the point I want to cover about 4 acres. What I have now is a small patch of Yellow Groove 4th growing season coming. Single plants of Henon, Bisetti, Nuda, Nigra Black and 4 divisions of Sasaella masamuneana 'Albostriata' (thanks for id help here) all planted Summer of 09. 1 Bory just dug 2 weeks ago. All have made this tuff Winter so far in great shape.

My question is, are there other (hardy in zone 6) bamboos that I should be considering for interesting colors, forms or coverage? Or should I think about getting more of some of the ones I already have to plant this season.

Also, I have Ornamental Bamboos by Crompton, What other books would be good to own for someone in zone 6?

Thanks .. Matt
