Here is what one reliable bamboo nursery (bambu-u.com) suggests: "Feed heavily in spring before start of new culm growth. We use lawn fertilizer with a 3-1-2 ratio ( 21-7-14 ) first in March, then again at the end of May. In the fall we use 5-10-10 or 0-10-10."

Just did a spur of the moment deal with a local nursery and took all their dead and dying bamboo for a token price. So now i have a 10x5 trailer loaded two deep with bamboo to resurrect and a lot of holes to dig!
