Anyone have bamboo they want culled?

Hi,

I'm planting a garden, and am looking for bamboo to make a fence (dental floss budget). If you are willing to let me have some bamboo, I'd be more than happy to lend a shoulder and a shovel and help you get it back in bounds. It would be best if you were in NJ, south NY, east PA or north DE. I hope it's ok to post this here. Thanks.

I have a few low-growing (1-3') groundcover bamboos if you want some. I can also find a few rhizomes of a taller 'boo. Keep in mind running bamboos will spread quickly. For a screen you may want Fargesia, a clumping bamboo, which is one I don't have extra of. I'm in Western Burlington County, N.J.

Actually, I'm planning on drying the bamboo and lashing it together to make a fence to keep the deer out. My garden is very small, so I want to have just a few sticks to get started. I love bamboo, but I'm not around enough to make sure it doesn't take over (:( ). (BTW--totally unrelated--is all bamboo edible? or just some species?)
