My textilis got burnt worse this year than ever before also. I am east of you off HWY 71.

On most plants, they have 100% leaf loss, however, the culms and most of the limbs remained green, and it has now started to put on new leaves, although I think the very tops of some of the culms have died.

I never trim any culms or limbs until I know for sure they are dead.

If your culms/limbs have frozen and died, they will turn dark, as with any of the Bambusas. If you cut one of the dark culms and smell it, it will stink and have a fermenting odor to it.

Textilis is that hardiest of the large Bambusas, so I think yours will be fine. In a few days/weeks you will know for sure when the new leaves emerge.
