bought about 20 buckets on sep 2009, all were grown in the desert near San Diego and are about 5' tall in 5 gal buckets, two were smaller ones in 3 gal buckets
planted them in my backyard in decent (read organically enriched) soil. the two small ones did not attain much height over the past 6 months, but their leaves are a very rich green. the others (the bigger/taller ones) did grow on average about 1' over the winter, but their leaves are mostly yellowish in varying degrees.
i am located in northern los angeles, and have a drip watering system for all these. the plan is to allow them to grow in (they are 3-4' part in a single line) and create a living fence over the next 3 years.
the question is, why are some of the leaves turning yellow,
should i water them more ?
the columns are definitely growing, and producing more leaves...
