P Bissetti Winter Damage-Pls Help

roc_ii

I planted P Bissetti in my oversized deck boxes last spring and it did great through last summer and fall. The leaves held some of their green into February but recently turned yellow/white. The stalks near the ground are still green but 12 inches out of the ground they start to lose their color (many of the small/newer shoots are yellow/white). I live in Chicago so I had insulated the boxes well (we did have many days around 0 degrees) but I am wondering what I need to do in order to resucitate them. Do I need to cut them back to where the shoots are green? Any suggestions are appreciated.
