| I was able to dig up some young plants from a local grove.
Which kind of bamboo is this? they were about 40-50' full grown. Before I put it in my yard, I'm going to need to setup a area, since I injured my leg, I won't be able to do any yeardwork for a few months, so I put the plants into a box planter. Will they grow here? and how tall/fast will they grow? With all the rain we just got, it's been pretty well watered! http://www.carcarealert.com/bamboo5.JPG

| Rutgers has a nice grove of Phyllostachys nuda? Hard to tell from your pics, but given the size you listed, take a look at some of the hardier Phylostachys (minus 10*f or below) |
