Timber bamboo may take a couple of years after planting to shoot. How long have yours been planted and what are they?

I have about 6 asian lemon, 7 sea breeze, two golden hawaiian (bambusa vulgaris vittata) and one green timber (bambusa vulgaris). I would like to get an oldhammii
All except the sea breeze were planted last fall. They are all of the bambusa family.
All of them are sending out new branches.

I'd love to see pictures. When you say "new branches," do you mean that they are shooting? Usually a bamboo culm grows to its full height and gets its full amount of branching in the season that the shoot comes up, although in your "tropical" climate, that branching could occur over a longer period. In any case, it sounds like you are doing the right stuff to get new growth so soon from all of them.

When I say branching, the existing culm is sending out new branches.
Only two new shoots, asian lemon. The taller one is up to 14 1/2 inches.

I planted the sea breeze about a month or so ago. Since the root balls were very small I cut down the culm to 2-3 nodes. I broke up a 7 gallon pot with 11 culms into 11 plants, all are regrowing; these ones are sending out branches, Im glad to see that too cause I thought a few of them were dead.

By the way, the bottom two are asian lemons. The second one is a hawaiian gold.
