In the imminent future, my husband & I will be moving to a new home. Of course, I am planning on taking as many plants with me as I possibly can.

Last October, we purchased some black bamboo. I am so excited that I am seeing shoots!! Eeeeeeeeekkkkkk!!! Anyway, it is unknown of when we will be moving, but I do know that it will have to be after the middle of May (my husband works offshore & won't be back until then. He has to be home for the negotiations of a house, signing of paper work, especially since we are doing this through his VA loan). By then the bamboo should be through sending out shoots, right? My main question is: is it okay to dig up the bamboo & move while shoots are still growing?
