OK - I've decided on a bamboo barrier - but what variety?

Hi,

I've been reseach bamboo in this great forum for awhile and have come to the conclusion that I will try to control the spread with annual pruning & pulling. Here's my situation:

There is a 8' wide area running about 100' feet that is bordered along the side by an asphalt parking lot - so no spreading there. On the other side is a fence - that's where pruning and pulling would need to occur to keep things at bay. What I want is a variety that will grow quickly and densely in my zone (outside of Washington DC). Ideally I'd like it to be at least 15' tall, better would be 20' or so. It is to serve as a visual barrier to a light industrial area, therefore quick and dense growth would be preferred.

Any suggsetions would be greatly appreciated!

Bob
