pool water backwash to irrigate bamboo?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows how tolerant bamboo is to being irrigated by pool backwash. Any thoughts? I'm putting a privacy wall of bamboo in and in part planning to irrigate with water collected from the roof nearby but also thinking of using pool backwash if deemed acceptable.

Diatomaceous earth and chlorine. (Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring siliceous sedimentary mineral compound from microscopic skeletal remains of unicellular algae-like plants called diatoms.) Chlorine -- 1 PPM ?

If that's all that's in there, it should be no problem...assuming the pH of the water is in a relatively normal range, which I would think it would be.
