Against your advice: F. Murielae

All -

After obsessive research and against the better judgment of some of you bamboo veterans, I've purchased and planted 17 f. murielae in a tiny ribbon of soil that is 70 feet long and 18" wide. As a side note, I ordered them from Bamboo garden, and was satisfied with both the price ($15/1 gallon plant) and the health of the plants that arrived.

I amended the soil with a 60% vermiculite potting soil and aerated the bed. This afternoon, I planted all 17 plants and tomorrow plan to mulch using local stable waste (saw dust with plenty of delish manure).

Does anyone have any advice for me on how to keep the baby boos happy? They have not shot this year. Should I expect that to shoot this spring, or will they have undergone too much transplant shock?

I am contemplating whether I should water them daily with a soaker hose or drip lines. Any advice?

Thanks,

A
