The City of Issaquah contacted me and Bill Hollenbeck (www.bambooweb.info) concerning the possibility of removing a moderate size bamboo grove from a city property. I have only seen photos and am not sure of the identity...possibly Ph. bambusoides. Bill asked me to post here to see what the interest was in an organized bamboo dig, possibly the weekend of May 5-6. It looks like nice bamboo, but, like many groves, it does have spider mites, so you would want to treat this if you dug yourself some divisions. Here are some photos:
