Bamboo will do nothing to the foundation, unless it is old and already has a lot of good size cracks that could be infiltrated by rhizomes. I have had bamboo growing right next to my house for years with no damage. Trust me...intact concrete is a good barrier.

Also, unlike tree roots, I have never seen bamboo invade underground piping. If there are no holes to penetrate it will do nothing.

Bottomline: if you like where it is planted, quit worrying.
