We want to plant some bamboo in containers along a fence for screening. We need advice on:

1. what material for containers (wood, plastic, metal, etc.)

2. what minimum size for containers (we want them as long and narrow as possible for the space)

3. what type of bamboo will survive/thrive best, grow tall fastest, and need least amount of care

The planters/containers will be on concrete, against a 6' blind cedar fence... area is sun and shade (much shade during the winter months due to how far north we are)
