Hello everyone!

I'm looking to buy some bamboo but there isn't much selection within reasonable driving distance from my place. On the one hand, I would get to choose my plants and could assume that they would be acclimatized...

On the other hand I can get exactly the species I want through mail order. But since it can't cross the border, I'll have to order from the West coast (I've read good reviews for Canada's Bamboo World).

Do any of you hard-core bamboo people know if bamboo grown in zone 8 has a hard(er) time adjusting to a colder climate? What would you suggest?
