Will bamboo retain a curve once it dries?

I'd like to create half circles of split bamboo to use to edge flower beds. If the bamboo is cut to size while green and then bent around a half circle form will it retain that curve after it is dry? I'm thinking of pieces cut and split to a size of about 1/2" x 5'. Does anybody know if this will work?

I have cut, bent, and then dried some whole culms and once it dries, it will hold that shape. It should work for split culms also.
