When did you plant it? Bamboo can take up to 3 years to get established and put out significant growth...particularly in marginal climates like yours.

ahh yea i planted it in april i think? the company i ordered from shipped them according to zones so it was late april early may at least. i just wanted to double check to make sure there wasnt anything i could do, or if something was wrong. shes still putting out a lot of new foliage just not a lot of height yet.

You probably won't get any more height this year. Nuda puts out new shoots in the spring, and when those reach their full height in a month or so, that's it -- they won't get taller or larger.

You might get a stray shoot or two this summer, but they won't be taller than what you have. Next spring is when you'll see the spread and/or height increase (of the new culms only).

awesome, that puts me at rest about the situation lol. i guess ill just keep fertilizing it here and there to help but not burn it. thanks again for the know how :D
