Clumping that handle full sun and 100+ temps

I am trying to narrow my list of possible choices before visiting the local bamboo nursery. I live in Visalia, CA which is in the central valley. Although the average winter temps are about or a little above freezing, we do occasionally get cold snaps in the 20s. My main concern is that I am trying to decide on a clumping type of bamboo, with mature heighth of 8 - 16 ft. I would prefer large canes(.75 - 2"). The bamboo will receive FULL sun, all day, year round. Most important, June temps are in the 90s, July is 100+, and August is in the 90s. The humidity is low. Are there any arid zone 9a/9b bamboo enthusiasts out there that can make a recommendation? Thanks in advance!

I have Mexican Weeping that is in full sun and they seem to like it. I guess my bamboo has afternoon sun but in the San Fernando Valley it can get very hot. I have Black, Mexican Weeping, Oldhamii, Budha Belly & Arrow that get hot afternoon sun. I would look the different types up on the internet.

I have Bambusa multiplex 'Alphonse Karr' in Davis, and it does well, as long as you give it regular garden watering. The local nurseryman's father is a longterm member of the bamboo society of america, and they have a few articles on the nursery's website about bamboo in the central valley.

A second vote for B. multiplex 'Alphonse Karr'. I live in Madera (just north of your Visalia garden), and have the same climate. Mine is in full sun, moderate water, and is doing very well.
