Bamboo

In 2007, following Hurricane Ivan, we suddenly began seeing really cool shoots of bamboo popping up in our backyard. At an almost alarming rate; it's raced all over the place. And now just pops up through the deck or anywhere it sends a runner. I have consulted locals and short of agent orange or panda bears it appears we're in a lifetime, committed relationship with the bamboo. Comments? Suggestions?

Enjoy the bamboo, import pandas ? :)
Really, just like any other plant, if you want to get rid of it...prevent all top growth for a year or two.

It mows really easily when the new shoots are smaller and very fragile.
