I hired, supposedly, a gardener to help me cut back & shape some shrubs. I asked him to shape my fargesia that had few shoots here and there over the desired height. I left cause I had something to take care of and came back to find him cut it back 2 to 3 ft down! This is an established fargesia that i was lucky to have it in my yard when I bought my house and always loved it .. there isnt much space around it and it seems that previous owners has concrete poured all around it on the ground to prevent new shoots from growing on the sides. Any ideas how to help it grow back as tall as it was ? very sad to see it cut that way and will never hire this gardener again :( .
