there are likely some bamboo growers in your area but i've had great luck purchasing online.

things to think about would be how high you want your screen, do you want running or clumping bamboo and how long of a screen do you need?

You can and you should! Bamboo is super fun. Its more of a long term project here in zone 5, but now three years later, I have a wonderful screen.This picture was supposed to be of the banana, but it shows the bamboo in the background pretty clearly. It's a lot taller now. It's yellow groove bamboo

Wow! Nice photo. A number of those plants are also growing in my backyard, but not near as pretty as yours.
