I'm looking for a timber bamboo either vivax or moso. Does anyone know of a nursery in nj that sells this bamboo?

Neither of them have timber bamboos.

I can't give you a source, but I can tell you to choose moso over vivax if you get snow. Vivax is thin-walled and brittle and breaks under snow loading. I've seen 4" diameter vivax snapped in two because of snow.

I'm almost certain that somebody has either moso or vivax in NJ on the bambooweb forums within driving distance.

Just off of a simple search, I found somebody in VA with a grove of moso so they probably have many other species too, but there are likely people with timber bamboos withing 100 miles from you location if you are in NJ.

I have the 'Anderson' moso bamboo. This is a hardier form. Please email me.
