Thickest bamboo for Zone 6?

What is the hickest bamboo variety that can be grown in a Zone 6? Preferably tasty, as we like them and prefer something to be edible than ornamental if possible. Bamboo needs quite a diameter to yield a tiny amount of edible shoot so the thicker the better. We're also considered zone 7 sometimes. I'm considering Moso, Vivax and Henon, but all suggestions are welcome! Thanks guys!

Based on my trip to a mature grove in Maryland which is a solid zone 7, it appeared that dulcis, and shanghai III seemed to have the greatest size in terms of overall diameter, even though they may not have been the tallest.

They are however marginal in upstate NY where tough winters will cause a lot of leaf burn, setting the size back. I'm in a plain zone 6.

The Anderson clone of moso bamboo does well for me. I have culms up to about 4" in diameter. Shoots are tasty when cooked.
