Heavenly Bamboo PH preferences

OK, I know Nandina is not a "true" bamboo but nonethless, I am fortunate to have in my possession several specimens, all of which face somewhat challenging conditions in that lie in the root runs of gigantic Doug Firs here in W Wash, getting from 4-6 hours of sun today. Consequently, they face dry, acidic conditions as only a fraction of the raindrops drop down from the conifer canopy above.

Question is, should I supplement this acidic soil with lime. Put otherwise, but is the Nandina's preferred PH level?

I've done lime supplementation, which has done wonders for my vegetable gardens.
