Leaves are black at the tip

What does this indicate? The rest of the bunch appear to be healthy, new shoots appear on the ground. The majority of the leaves are black/brown at the tip. My bamboo is Phyllostachys aureosulcata "Spectabilis".

Thanks,

Brown tips can be a sign of overwatering, and some species are more susceptible than others. Do you think that's a possibility for that plant in that location?

Only at the tip, or with a blackish dustiness elsewhere on the upper side of the leaf as well?
