bamboo zones

I am researching the idea of commercially growing bamboo in the Bahamas what would be the best choice? The ground is limestone with soil of compost and lots of water. I have found that home owners with Bamboo tell me it grows strong and very fast. samples I have seen prove this. would the climate support Moso?

You may want to look into bambusa vulgaris, it is a fast growing tropical bamboo that does well in southern florida. It should grow fine in the bahamas.

Moso is one of the slowest to mature, taking up to 20 years and even then you need to harvest culms that are several years old so that they are hard enough.

If you plant Moso, I'd also plant one or more kinds of large bamboos such as Henon, Bory or Madake so that if something happens to one plant such as going to flower, you will still have other bamboos to keep your business going.
