they probably got a little transplant shock, if they put out new leaves they should be fine. They should start growing anytime, but growing from seed takes time. My month old seedlings only about 4 inches , 6 month old about about a foot. so be patient and water well.

actually your conditions were not actually that bad. Bamboo seedlings often burn when placed in direct and full sunlight. If they do, they loose there few leaves they have left, and die. Overcast weather provides a nice glow without producing enough light to burn the tiny seedlings. As my 2 month old Moso grows new sections and leaves, each consecutive internode has grown shorter than the one before. But the leaves, have grown bigger. More energy is going to the leaves and root system I suppose to provide energy for next year's new shoots.

I have grown seedlings in shade and in sun, the ones in sun are 3 times as big as that in shade, the only secret is to keep well watered. The url bellow are some water boo seedlings I played with. They're a couple months old, started in dixie cups.
