bamboo for my area

Good morning, I am new to bamboo, but not new to gardening.

I am interested in bamboo that will survive the winters here in wisconsin. Two possibilities come to mind, one would be for bamboo fishing poles, like I used 50+ years ago. The second would be for a screen between my 5 acres and a relatively busy highway. I would sure appreciate any information anyone can help me with, and any leads on where to get starter plants. Wisconsin is pretty marginal for success with bamboo. However, it may be possible. What USDA Zone are you in, and what are your winters like?
