| Been looking around at different clumping types, most say not for hot dry areas, Nashville gets pretty hot in the summer. I'm wanting to use it as a privacy screen, I'd like for it to get 10' or more. I don't have the space for a runner. The location will get mostly shade until about 11-12 and then sun till about 5-6 in the summer. I have the plan of putting 2-3 divisions in a corner of the yard along a fence as well as a small pond.
Any variety suggestions are greatly appreciated |

| Are runners in Nice planters out of the question? That would open the possibilities. I have several runners in planters on the deck and if a rhizome peeks over the top...I just redirect them back into the planter. Just a thought. Your zone 7 like me... but I think you summer heat is a bit more than ours. I'm sure one of the resident experts will chime in shortly. Blessings |

| Try Bambusa Oldhami --- its suppose to be super fast growing and can take low temps. |
