Orchid Bamboo-pic

I bought a orchid bamboo in Key West this summer not sure if it is hardy for zone 8 but will leave part of it outside and bring some of it in.

Have several pods but don't see any seeds, and are they invasive?

It's very pretty, but you probably won't get much good advice here. This plant is totally unrelated to bamboo. I suggest you post in the Orchid forum.
